Michaelin and Dave Watts donated primary initial and ongoing funding. However in the last few years Bring Me A Book Franklin has received increased support from family and supportive individuals, civic groups and corporate foundations. In the fiscal year 2018-2019 the Watts contributions have been reduced to 30 percent.

A Gala fundraiser was held in April 2019 in partnership with the Apalachicola center for History, Culture and Art. The film “The Accountant”, winner of the 2001 Academy Award for the Best Action Short was shown at a black tie event, featuring Eddie  King live, one of the three star actors in the film. It was truly a night to remember.

Contributions of service have been provided since our beginnings in 2009 by:

  • The Bring Me A Book Foundation, Judy Koch (Founder) and its staff: book selection, counsel, ongoing support and inspiration.
  • The Historic Apalachicola Foundation: counsel and participation in our shared vision and programs and use of the Apalachicola Museum of Art for conferences and meetings. (2009-2016)
  • Lacye Tiffin: logos and art for posters, bookmarks, tee-shirt design, and background paintings for website.
  • Elizabeth Pennington Cowie: research into possible grants for Bring Me A Book Franklin.
  • Downtown Books, Apalachicola, FL (Dale Julian): major supplier of children's books at generous discounts in our early years.
  • Holland & Knight, LLP, Tampa, FL (Eric Almon and Jody Keeling): for pro bono legal services.
  • David and Weezie Reese of Phoenix, AZ for contributing the books, “I Know I Can”, for the first two years of the program (authored by David’s sister, Andrea Dunn).
